Nope.
I was offered a spot with the sheriff’s department years ago, with the catch being that anyone hired, no matter the position, had to start out as a guard in parish prison.
Working for BRPD actually sounds worse than that these days.

That really is a fricking shame. They are seriously discussing paying McDonald's workers $15 an hour and this is what we pay people entrusted to protect us? You wonder why half the police are mouth breathers or disgruntled and then this explains it. I realize they chose the career and all but damn.

Troopers don't make much more and need much more experience than BRPD
