Acting like this is something common rather than trolling or attention whoring is the problem with social media.
Good article about PC in the Atlantic last year - showed wide disapproval of PC from every age and racial group except for progressive liberals (with 30% disapproval of PC among a group that is a small percentage of our population).
Social media only makes it look like this stuff is the norm.
