The campaign against climate change has nothing to do with climate change or the environment, and everything to do with delegitimizing enterprise and stripping control away from capitalist sources of power.

I agree with all of this, and still think "climate change", as an industry, is a hoax.
Because all of the above is 1) already being done in huge strides, even without government intervention 2) more laws and extreme regulations won't help any of these things 3) the worst offenders aren't in the United States at all
But by even offering skepticism, I get labeled a "science denier"

Agreed. What AOC and Greta and those guys want to do is more than 'recycling and picking up your trash'. They want to gut every building in the nation, remove air conditioners, install solar panels, shut down air traffic, etc. Oh and your paying for the remodel.

Hell, if nothing else this means that despite the media's 24 hour drumbeat of us living in cataclysmic times things may actually be pretty damn good if the most "noteworthy" person is child from a 1st world country, who is the creation of virtue signaling parents, complaining about a largely fabricated "crisis".
So her greatest "accomplishment" is inspiring .0005% of the world's population to join a "strike" (strike from what exactly I do not know?). I'm pretty sure any poster here could organize a larger strike against the Peleton commercial with less effort and a more meaningful impact on society

LOL imagine being someone who claims climate change will destroy all of us but proposes changing the world's future without addressing the majority of the world's most egregious offenders (because they're non-white).

AOC released the "Green New Deal", just go read it for yourself and you'll see. That was on benefit of someone like her, at least they are honest about it and don' try to hide that they want to fundamentally change every sector.
It literally (using the word correctly) called for banning most cars, retrofitting every building in the US, banning meant banning airplane travel, banning fossil fuels...and then for good measure throw in guaranteed jobs, guaranteed education, guaranteed food.
It's clear to see it for what it is, and its not saving the planet
