this is particularly a good year since we've had record low temperatures.

You realize how dumb this makes you look, right? I don't know where I stand on everything, but local temps being lower in a small region of the planet has nothing to do with global temps and much longer overall trends.

Time's person of the year is a someone who has done the most to influence the events of the year, good or bad. Obviously you can see why Hitler would be chosen, It's not like there's some awards ceremony or parade thrown for the selection.

If that's the criteria than Trump would have run away with it. He has absolutely dominated the media this year. But, we know that's not the only criteria. They also have to push an agenda.

Time is missing out on an opportunity here. Had Trump been named person of the year, we would have been beaten over the head with side by side images of Trump and Hitler on the first page of Time magazine.

It's more about them than her.

I sometimes forget that the majority of people posting on here are narrow minded folks who've rarely ventured past the state line.

I still love them.

Whether you are pro/anti "global warming" you are still talking about it because of her.

Think that’s the main difference though. People who are bothered by this don’t think man made activities can affect the worlds climate.

There have been several people to be named person of the year multiple times.

It shouldn't have been this girl because she is soooo theatrical.

Shoulda been Trump. He's not theatrical.

No, I didn't. But my point still stands. Him being named in 2016 does not prevent him from being named in 2019 if that were truly the criteria.

Because she is a spoiled, petulant, ignorant teenager who decided that she wasn’t going to go to school until other people fixed the weather for her. She is insufferable. Claims she can see carbon dioxide.

She has the audacity to lecture others while she lives the high life

You know her?

This is a pretty stupid knock on her. What more should she do? What more could she do?

Why pass this off as if she's going around claiming that today? Her mother wrote that in a book, and it was based on something the girl said as a child.
