Meanwhile, I just put socks on because it's a little cold inside despite sweltering outside.

I welcome the writer to come sit under my shade tree in Baldwin County AL for a cooling session. Hell, I'll open up said shade tree to transients too. I'm sure they'll stick around at the luxury cooling center I provided.

Had I been inside mine would not be either. But I’ve been outside since about 11:30 manning my smoker. Inside it’s a comfortable 70 degrees. Once my Boston butt and brats are done I’m looking forward to sitting in my air conditioned home (that I’ve worked my arse off for 30 years to provide for my family) as I relax with a nice bourbon & coke while we find some good movie to stream tonight.
