The one where if there is no welfare, there is no taxes being used to pay for welfare.

I support the tax payers by allowing them to keep their money over paying taxes just to get it back via welfare programs

No. My wife and I make about 150k a year combined and we have three kids in college right now. Would be really difficult and saddle all of us with debt without TOPS.

UGH! STOP BEING SUCH A WELFARE QUEEN!!!

Raise the criteria for grades, but don't alleviate it. Too many good, deserving kids out there.

Surprise. My wife had a sex change and is a dude now. It’s 2020. It’s why I’m in the middle of divorce.

Watch out, her dick is bigger than yours.

absolutely, so do I

but that isn't our current reality

so I'll support them getting their own money back in our current reality, but you won't because you feel the need to morally preen yourself for some weird reason

I would say plan better. We started saving for college when my kids were born.

Probably. But they won’t be using it for welfare!

I prefer to be morally consistent. To each his own.

Looks like the requirements are a 20 on the ACT and 2.5 HS GPA from what I've found online. Pretty pathetic actually.

Holy hell man. You shouldn’t be accepted into ANY college with pathetic grades like that. Much less receive scholarship. It wasn’t like that in 2004/5 when I was applying to schools. When did it get so stupidly low?

The check I write to the State of Louisiana for my fair share of taxes far outstrips the $4k or whatever it is my kid is currently getting from TOPS.

And the fees and all other associated costs with going to school is a helluva a lot more than TOPS as well.

That said, it does need to be changed, tightened up.

Well I've already explained how it doesn't fit the definition of welfare. You just chose to ignore it.

But you are being inconsistent in your support of taxes.
