Asked a brown Spanish speaking fellow that came to give me a bid on a job if he was licensed. His also Spanish speaking but half bilingual girlfriend came up and informed me I was racist for asking..

It’s your White privilege that is blinding you from seeing your racist ways.
A license in and of itself is just a way for the white man to keep the brown man down.
Think about it, you only need licenses for high paying jobs. coincidence? I think not. It’s just whitey creating an extra barrier for minorities to achieve success.
In conclusion, you asking him if he has a license is the same as you asking him if he has a green card.
