If politicians would stop selling subsidies to the rich and powerful in return for bribes (such as those disguised as speaking fees and book deals), average citizens would have a good standard of living.

If we took every penny of every US billionaire's wealth (not income, wealth), it would cover US government spending for about 7-8 months.
Then where will you go to get the next batch of money, because they won't have any left?
