My neighbor flew someone in some high priced decorator from NYC to decorate her daughters' room at the U of Alabama. Don't understand it at all but her husband just said frick easier to write the check than to battle it out of over something retarded like this.

My daughter and her roommate were smart about their dorm — chose things that we were able to resell or reuse in the apartment this year. Seriously EVERYTHING was sold or repurposed.
We did want her to have a comfortable and homey room as she was rather far and wouldn’t be coming home often but to hire a decorator was never, ever a consideration. That’s too over the top for my sensible self.
(Some people buy desk chairs as the ones provided aren’t “good enough”, glass on top of desks, desk skirts, and it never ends it seems. That said to each his own.)

No problem....if she gets a job over the summer and wants to spend her money on that, I’d ba all for it.
