Chris Rooney, better known as Uncle Chris, is a beloved TikTok creator who recently fell into a crisis.

Rooney, a 26-year-old from Fredericksburg, Virginia, found a huge audience when he started making videos with his young niece and his nephew in January 2020. Most of the videos involved the toddlers making a big mess while attempting to pour drinks into glasses.

The post said Rooney had been "found safe" on August 3.

Before vanishing, he posted a video on his personal TikTok account that some found troubling.

In the video, Rooney replied to a comment about his separation from his wife, Emily Rooney: "Alcohol is poison. You lost your beautiful wife because of it so that tells me you need to stop drinking 100%. Have you tried naltrexone?"

Will this shite, and "influencers," and youtube personalities die out any time soon? Or are we stuck with this? Is this how the world will be from now on? Where completely unremarkable, uninteresting people get really famous and rich?

Guy who profits off of taking advantage of his niece and nephew realizes he’s a POS after watching a movie about child sex trafficking. Hmm

I’m glad I’m an OT Star so I don’t have to be worried about this Tik Tok disease going around.

Yeah, I don't get the connection to the movie unless there are some serious undertones with what he's done with his niece and nephew.

What a weird story. And why it's even a story at all (because he is an "influencer") is mindboggling to me.

These people are so tone deaf. Why would any person report that this happened? Of course, everyone is going to assume he's a pedo because of it. They crave the attention and think any exposure is good exposure. Pro tip: Exposure isn't good if the exposure leads everyone to think you diddle kids.

I influence my kids to not act like dicks daily. I'm guessing that what it means. Puts the kids first and engages in no selfish, narcissistic or look-at-me behavior. Influencer.
