Go on Golf Now. Golf is as cheap as ever. Especially in Baton Rouge. Courses are also located in black communities. Plenty of programs for kids in BR.

Every public high school in EBR Parish had a golf team when I was there and I know many still do.
City Park, Webb Park are not expensive at all and as a kid I played all the municipal courses. Plenty of inexpensive opportunities.

And my high school coach was black. I play only about 4 times a year now after growing up playing it but one I play with now is a black man who plays weekly.
Golf can be as expensive as you want it just as travel baseball can be but it can also be very affordable.
