I won’t disagree. Bama has a lot going for it
Louisiana and Mississippi just don’t have much to offer outside of oil/gas and NOLA tourism.

Alabama is better than Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansaa, West Virginia, and probably Kentucky. Some of it has to do with geography, but they've seemed to have had more consistent leadership, with smarter people in charge of decision making. Having the port on Mobile Bay also helped the land the Airbus factory.
Mississippi is more like Alabama than the rest but everything is on a smaller scale is Miss. Both have NASA, both have aircraft factories, both have multiple auto plants and both have similar culture and food.

The summer I got done playing I stayed around to work odd jobs around south Baldwin county (started back at LSU that fall as a regular student). I worked with some old heads that used to tell the good tales of the Flora Bama in the 70s when there was nothing but cool outlaw shite going on around those beaches and the Bama.

Yes, it is. It's approaching 40 percent AA, but I don't think it will go any higher. It may retract slightly in the future, but Mississippi will always have the highest percentage of African Americans of any state, by far. That is why Mississippi is approaching purple horizons in presidential voting.
Hispanic populations are growing in every state.

I’ve lived in Alabama currently living in Mississippi….. Mississippi is a third world state.
