Three charged in Ville Platte after being hit by truck

Maybe this can be a teaching point and get kids into the, "Hey, I'm going to use good judgment while walking down the street in the middle of the night and wear reflective items."

It is kind of messed up that they are being charged at all. I get that technically they broke a law, but I think getting hit by a truck is punishment enough.

Three black guys wearing non-reflective clothing at night just might be difficult to spot. I think being hit is punishment enough though, charges shouldn't be needed here although maybe it'll make someone think twice before doing that.

If you'd ever driven through Ville Platte, you'd understand. I've had to dodge plenty of "youths" in that town that walk the roads at night. They also simply do not GAF and will walk right out in front of you.
Ville Platte is probably one of the shittiest towns in America.

A friend of mine hut and killed a guy a few years ago heading to work at 4 am. Guy was walking down the center of the road in the fog.
