Maybe I’m just nostalgic but kids are in front of screens enough these days.

Cancel school and let them go outside for once and enjoy some snow.

Can’t let the teachers off - OT would flip its lid even though 1/2 the board is off

They don’t do shite on e days. Just a way for the admin to make themselves feel like they’re still doing their job.

Bad idea.

Braxxtynn might slip and hurt himself, bubble wrap him and leave him inside.

We got the ABBMWLL World Series® coming up in March, can’t afford to lose his bat when a ring is on the line.

virtual days shouldn’t count as school days- they are totally worthless in every way. It’s like having a sub in every class. It’s either busy work, or reviews

School is already canceled for Tangipahoa Parish Tuesday and Wednesday. No virtual days, just no school. That “virtual day” shite is all a game. We’ve done it in the past, and here’s what happens: teachers are told to post an assignment online, students are told that the assignment is mandatory, students don’t do the assignment, the assignment is shite canned because admin doesn’t want to hear parents bitching.

The End

You have weather days, use them.

It’s a way to not use a disaster day so you don’t have to make it up.

I’m against it, but COVID opened this can of worms.

If it's a legit snow day with several inches of accumulation, school and work should just accept that nothing is getting done.

It would be a once in a generation type of weather event. Let people enjoy it.

Do modern day parents and schools have to frick everything up.

It’s a once in a decade SNOW DAY bitches. You let those kids have the day or days off and enjoy it. Let me explain to you modern parents how u do it.

You make them some sandwiches or something to eat get out their winter clothes etc and open the door and let them out

When we go virtual, we have to take attendance, and all assignments are due when they are due. I usually do my twenty or so of lecture, then post the assignment. I keep GoGuardian up so that students can message me with questions and I can monitor their work.
