I have no problem with a bunch of adult nerds and booger eaters reliving the past. No crime, spend money, good for the local economy. Enjoy yourselves

Naw. I went with a friend for about a half hour last year here in KY. Seen one, seen them all. Many horrible looking broads. But hey, to each of your own.

Second this. His show is really fantastic.

The fest is a ton of fun. Way better than what you’d expect in Hammond.

YES, parking is a MAJOR mofo and traffic to get to the parking rivals post game LSU football traffic.

I go every year 2 or 3 days. I arrive 30 mins before the gates open. I never have an issue.

Well not everypne wants to be first at the party and if we all dud your move then the wait would flip to your timetable.

I thought the same, but 2 years ago we went on like a Sunday and we sat in line in the car for over an hour. Some of our party got out of the car and walked, and they were way ahead of me at many points. But I had no choice... you can't park anywhere before the parking area.

This weekend is one of the less kid-friendly themes. Myths & Magic, Nov 23-24, is usually the best for kids.

What is the ratio of patrons in costume vs normal dress?

Don't confuse that mensa with the facts. He won't show his face in this thread again. He's busy cleaning his single wide windows so he can see the fest grounds from his futon.

Probably 50/50, if anything 60/40 in favor of dressed up. If you go in normal clothes they will call you out in a joking way. My buddy wore a camo vest one year and was getting called a floating head for the whole 6-8 hours we were there.

I’m pretty sure the singing bar maids are selling handies by the port a potties. If that’s your thing.

There are shops at the RenFest that sell related clothing items and t-shirts. Some items from Spirit or other Halloween costume stores work, like Steampunk corsets. My daughter and her friends wore princess and Greek goddess costumes when younger. As teens they went as a bunch of superheroes - Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Cat Woman, Bat Girl, etc.
