Moved here in 93 and have never left. I live in Belmont which is about 15 mins outside of Clt but the wife and I both commute to Clt. Absolutely love it.

Albemarle? Wondered how those folks were liking it.

Was also curious if this was Albemarle related.

I feel like that Belmont/Mt. Holly area really flies under the radar and is forgotten about somewhat

Eh maybe equivalent to winning twenty on a scratch off

Nah.

Baton Rouge is a shite hole and Charlotte is better in virtually every way. Better opportunities, better people, better just about everything.

Yes he is, and strangely enough the guy I work for now in Asheville is also an LSU grad that once dated a female from Denham Springs, where I grew up. Small world.

Don’t disagree regarding BR v. Charlotte. But “winning the lottery” is hyperbole at its purest my dude.

Acting like moving to Charlotte is on par with winning multi millions

Look in the Providence HS or Ardrey Kell HS districts for good public schools.

If working in Ballantyne, consider Union county if you want a bigger yard and don’t mind being further from downtown (people in Charlotte call their downtown “uptown”).

If working near the airport, Belmont has decent schools and a cool little downtown.

Has the new 77 toll lanes alleviated any traffic? Never really head up that way during rush hour.

Don't listen to this advice. You can fly in to see the family. Get out of La. while you still can.

For LSU, they'll be at Big Ben Pub in South End Charlotte.

For the Saints, theyll be at TopGolf on nearly all non-primetime games. I think theyre still working it out for those. At TopGolf, we have free bays for the whole game to play on and a private ballroom to watch the game. Pretty sick setup.
