You should check out the Jeep Grand Cherokee w/the Overland, High Altitude, and Summit trims.

About to get my wife a high altitude.
The Limited X is also very cool.

I was looking at X5’s online recently, and it’s almost impossible to find one from 2012-2016 model years that comes equipped with remote start.. i’m not even sure if it’s available on the newer model X5s(?)
The only German cars I have ever seen with remote start are the new x7 and the Atlas. I think these are built primarily for the American market. Not available on any Audi that I know of.

Remote start is something the Germans have never been a big fan of. They're just now starting to allow them on cars sold in US.

Yea wife's xc90 (2018) doesn't have it either... thought it was strange. There is an app you can download but I believe you have to pay monthly for it (f that)

You should just get a fully loaded 4Runner.

Obviously you can afford it but getting rid of the car right after warranty because the repairs are expensive and then buying a brand new luxury vehicle doesn’t make any sense financially.
On paper, you are correct. But you are not married to my wife and I don't like surprises.

Do we consider the Yukon Denali a "luxury" vehicle?
It is by far one of the best SUV's I've ever driven.

Honestly, remote start is something i barely knew existed before i bought my GC, and i certainly didnt think it was something i needed.. the only things i was willing to splurge on were leather seats and a backup camera.. but i have to say, while the backup camera is nice, the remote start feature is an absolute game-changer.. being able to crank up the vehicle and get the A/C going on a hot summer day a couple minutes before you get in is something i dont think i could, or would want to, live without now.
My wife gets pissed off because she has a Lexus that’s newer than my Jeep, and doesnt have remote start, so she just has to sweat her arse off when she gets in.

We have the X3 M40i. The new model year (2018 I think) is a bit larger than the older models. We looked at the X5 as well, and there wasn't enough size difference for us to make the move to the X5. If we had 2 or more kids, we may have considered it.
The new interior and tech in the car is great.

Newer Lexus cars have remote start, but its through an app you have to pay for. Salesman said it was safety feature to not have it on the key chain.....I'm sure it's more of a money deal.

Any idea if this is available to set up on a non-brand new Lexus (2015)? Maybe i’ll get my wife’s car set up with remote start for Mother’s Day.. heck, i’ve gotten her far less romantic things before.
