Just put a 30" box fan in a corner. It'll blend into the decor and give you plenty of circulation.

I think so... but if you do live in Los Angeles, maybe not. I'd probably put two ceiling fans in there if it was in Louisiana.

If you don't put it in to start with, I'd wire two boxes for later installations (looks like a big room). If you used white ceiling hugger type fans, they would blend in enough to be hardly noticeable. Good ones are quiet. You might not need light kits, so that would be further blending.

I put two modern looking 60" fans without light kits in my living room and they're operated with a remote control. They pretty much stay on, the lowest setting, and I can't imagine not having them. I think they look great, and generally IDGAF what other people think is in style.

This is obvious.

I think a "Big arse Fan" would look good in that living room.

Well your location is listed as Los Angeles and you didn't mention anywhere specific in your original post.

In Louisiana, do it. Will save you some money annually as you can set the AC a few degrees higher and turn the fans.

No, they were Hunter fans that were a few hundred bucks a piece. Tribeca was the name, they've since been discontinued.

And who gives a shite what they think when you have swamp balls sitting on your couch in July.

I didn't have one because I preferred the look without one. But after a while it drove hubs and I nuts to not have airflow and we put one in (box was already there).

We have finally removed all the fans in our house. Just didn't use them all that much. I liked to sleep with one on the low setting, but it bothered my wife. We never turned them on. The last one came down from the old den, which actually got used some, during the time we were renovating it into a master bath. We just have flush mount lights in all bedrooms now, except for the chandelier style light in my daughter's room.

I have a ceiling fan in every room of my house except the bathroom.

And I use them year-round (minues 2 or 3 winter months).

So you prefer stagnant air? Sounds like a receipt for a lot of sickness.
