Actually studies show that resumes with stereotypical minority sounding names get much fewer call backs even when the resumes are virtually identical. Many companies are adopting blind resume policies due to this. Whether years from now this will be relevant, with all the unique and exotic names floating around, is yet to be determined.

Are those type of names still popular these days? Like among newborns?
I realize this was an awful fad 10 years ago or so and those kids are still out there, but I feel like these memes have shamed people enough now that they are aware these days.
My wife does all the monogramming at a kids boutique. She will send me pics of some ridiculous names here and there, but most of them are normal names these days.
