I forget who it was, but some poster recently NAILED the theory behind this. This generation of kids born post 2000 have been taught that they are exceptional and brilliant and their parents (my generation) want to make certain that they stand out."Lason" (Jason just not good nuff eh?) And "Ryleigh" and "Peighton" and "Jaxon" are all very uncreative attempts at making a new name out of something already there...but the kid is just too damn special to have a normal spelling.
