You are granted the ability to travel through time at will, as many times as you like, with the following conditions:

- You can only travel to the past
- You can't travel to a time when you were alive
- You can only travel to the past at the location where you are standing at that moment (you can move around before and after you make the jump)
- Your lifespan is reduced by double the amount of time you spend in the past (i.e. spend a day in the past, you will die 2 days sooner)
- You can take modern items that you can carry, but you can't bring past objects back with you
Would you do it? Where and when would you go?

You can travel anywhere in the present before making the jump.

Exampe: Fly to Egypt today and travel back in time to the pyramid construction.

Point is you can only travel through time at will, not time and space.

I would have to check out Dinosaurs. - a day or so
Id like to see the pyramids being built. - a day
And travel back to the First Livable Day on Earth to see how it started. - 1 day
Id like to go listen to Jesus and see if he really rose - Id assume about three days

Who would willingly go back to a time when crime was so high and New Orleans' brightest were leaving in droves?

I think you'd find the first livable day to see how it started (first day there was life on earth) wouldn't be livable for you at all (little to no oxygen for instance).

You would be transported into deep space. Not only does the earth revolve around the sun, but the whole solar system is revolving around a galaxy that is also in movement.

That makes me wonder. Is there any description of jesus' body type? I assume he was short, but what if he was fat? And was he known for being handsome or was he just a regular ugly?

That is a good point. For the sake of this you will travel to the point on Earth where you are standing, so travelling through space in that context only.

If I had a firearm with two full clips?

I'd go back to about 1900.

I'd get Owlie's ancestors in a room with Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, and Yamamoto and make sure to first kill all of the hispanics.

That would upset the space-time continuum and possible rip the fabric of the universe and frick it up for everyone, haha.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
--Isaiah 53:2

Also, fat people were almost nonexistent, except royalty, until the mass production of food, particularly sugary foods.

Great. You die alone in the horrible, silent, inky void of the cosmos the first time you time travel because the Earth's orbital velocity is 30 km/s around the sun.

Maybe you should leave thought exercises to those capable of it.

ETA: Dammit, Ray, I wanted to deliver the snark.
