Per the box at the end of the article, false rapes are much rarer than previously thought. How the hell would they know the true number of false rape claims. Many of the guys get convicted based on small, insufficient evidence, and their case rarely gets revisited.

I'd like to know what evidence was deemed sufficient to convict/hold these men in this case.
Rape is a nightmare crime to prosecute because unless a suspect leaves physical evidence it becomes he said she said and it's often impossible for a neutral party to decipher what is the truth.
