The icing on the cake is that even with definitive proof of who stole your package, cops don't deal with it. If the cops don't want some vigilante revenge, perhaps it IS worth their time to investigate package thieves AND give them lofty penalties for that kind of theft.

Some lady last year did a much cheaper version by stuffing the package with here infant's dirty diapers. No way to see the thief's reaction but gotta guess it was glorious.
