yep, when there's a reality show about it you know you're late to the party, I did my first one while I was at LSU in the 70s

Pretty much all of Portie Town looks like that. There used to be a midget living near there (I'm assuming that's Our Lady of Lasasellette) who would buy you a case of natty if you gave him a 20.

What are the neighbors like? Whats the property worth?

I haven't been there in 15 years or so but that area is pretty much a big white ghetto. West/north get better but I think that's ground zero.

You could easily make $10+k based on the stuff left on that property. It would be a pain and there's a 50/50 chance the previous owners shoot you, but you could make money.

ETA:

I guess then you'd owe property taxes that would negate the gains until you sell the lot, which I doubt is worth much. Also spend a good bit just on clearing the stuff you can't sell and bulldozing the structures.

Nvm, Im out.

push prices to retail.

Just went to a restaurant equipment auction and saw that left and right. The freezer I wanted went for $200 below retail. Throw on the 10% buyer's premium and he was over that. He could have had a brand new one with a warranty for what he paid.

I go to several equipment auctions every year to flip trucks, equipment, and utility trailers and see this crap all the time.

Oh you can probably buy it at sheriff sale, but to occupy and hold it you are going to need an army to fight those rednecks.

That looks like the compound where they caught the deranged serial killer in season 1 of True Detective.

One guy showed up and not only overpaid for the house but thought he had time to get a mortgage on the house. It is cash at the act of sale and he didn't have the cash.

Did he just zone out immediately following, "Hi folks, how y'all doing...." and miss the legal spiel? That's a frick up that he almost had to try to make.

I would easily pay $6200 cash for a midget.
