SG has had its own fire department for years.
SG will have to maintain its own roads when we become a city; however, our taxes will still help finish Kip’s Greenlight Plan, and go to the MovEBR plan that was just passed.
Sewer and garbage taxes and fees will also continue as will sewer and garbage services.

I agree with what you are saying, main point is St. George isn't being cut out of those services because its still in the parish, i.e. they are not seceding from the parish.
Incorporation vs. Succession are very different and have extremely different impacts. And most folks have no clue of the actual costs of public infrastructure.
I do have a St. George question, won't most of mayor roads stay parish roads?
