Because I’m pretty sure the culture on Metairie isn’t the same as New York even though white people live in both areas.

I think the OP is right, actually. When things zig, many zag.
I think this is especially important in higher education. While many have written off higher ed as the domain of liberals, I have to tell you, the students stuck in those classes are hungry for Western Civ and European culture.
They want to know about ancient Greece and Rome, and they want to read Homer, and they want to listen to Bach and Beethoven, and they want to learn military history with actual battles in it, and they want to learn about Isaac Newton and Marie Curie. Because no one is teaching it to them.
The brand and the story of Western Civ is incredibly powerful. Give them a real taste, and they will want more. Challenge students with it, and they will respond.

White American culture is so unifying we had civil war before any other race could even vote.
I do Think there is a general American culture but lots of ethnicities blend in and assimilate to it.
