You know, when I read these threads, I can kinda understand why someone would be anti-vax.

Alot of boomers were raised by depression era parents and were taught to save every penny and spend frugally.

Also, their parents didn't have alot of wealth so if you are measuring percentage of wealth when they were 35, yeah it's gonna be higher than a 35yo today because old people have money now. There used to not be 401ks and whatnot, everything was pension based, and that doesn't count toward wealth.

Oh wait, Millennials are the generation that keeps pushing Socialism. Well now, you geniuses just keep voting Bernie.

Socialism and war helped make this country crawl out of the great depression. The south greatly benefitted from socialism.

Tennessee Valley still gets a huge push from it.

Yeah that's why I asked what year.

He only mentions the shitty economy of his post grad years compared to the current economy so that makes me think he means 2008ish.

No one thinks you're being mean to them. We're all just watching you foam at the mouth while melting like a bitch about millennials.

grab your ankles because you finna be downvoted hard and put up wet, but you are extremely correct

also: somebody post a graph showing union participation up against a graph of wealth disparity over the last 75 years. I bet they're damn near identical

unions can be a frickin' mess, and god knows they've had their catastrophic problems... but since we started castrating them, the middle class has had to eat shite sammich after shite sammich

I always laugh when I see this line. I'm a programmer and 70% of the people quit by the end of the first year. It's like when people say if they had to do it over again they would be a doctor.

Scruffy is a millennial.

People like you just call everyone who doesn’t whine incessantly a “boomer”.

No, Socialism did nothing to pull us out of the Depression. That is the Democrats tale to glorify FDR.

War, specifically World War II, pulled us out of the Depression.

There you go confusing infrastructure (flood control, navigation, and power generation which was a spinoff) with Socialism.

Scruffy has never claimed to not be a millennial.

Millennials were given a rough go, but, damn, Scruffy’s generation is constantly whining.
