If it was my first time seeing this and I had no idea what the "mural" referenced, I'd think that Boomhauer took elfen form while dressed like a cop and knelt down on a guy with an Easter Island head. And also "I can't breath" had some sort of meaning I couldn't decipher
Looks like they put a dot above the 'I' in 'LIVES' even though it's all capital letters, then forgot about it when it came time to do the 3D shading

Not to mention, try holding your phone like that and having it stay. It’s damn near impossible
with that orientation, you're looking at yourself in the camera
eta: maybe this has already been mentioned. to be honest, i skimmed. i skimmed hard and fast.

The artists is pointing out that onlookers, the media, and society don’t see the sufferings of black men, they just see an opportunity to vilify something they don’t like.

Can you explain the symbology behind all the other mistakes for us then?

Can they make the cop any whiter
I’m honestly not sure: he’d have to be listening to Barry Manilow

It's the police car they couldn't keep black?

No he's not. The cop is still visible. The artist is pointing out that all the media wants to show is a white man attacking.. not what the crooks part was in getting himself into this predicament. In other words its taking the nuance out to fit a narrative.

Just out of curiosity, what suffering of black men since, oh, I don't know, let's just say the last 50 years has not been, by and large, a product of their own making?
