I have wifi at home, at work, and at church. I don't watch videos on my phone and because of that 1GB is almost always enough.

I just did the 2 year contract, got two new phones for $100 and kept my plan.

Call back and ask for the retention department.

I agree with this. I went with Sprint a couple of months ago, and the service is terrible. It's bearable here in Dallas, but it's almost nonexistent when I go back to Louisiana.

If the old plans and the next plans are the same and now you pay full price for the phone in installments but your monthly bill for usage is lower than why did att change to do it this way if it is all coming out the same in the end?

My Verizon plan is way better. Saved me like $80 /mo to their new package plans no 2 year.

Bought 3 month old Motorola phone off eBay for $120.

Get away from apples shite and the android phones are damn nice and greatly priced used

My parents are the type who always go for the "free" phone when they are eligible for upgrades, and they were always complaining about their phones a year into it. Can't imagine how cheap they'll go now that they have to buy them outright.

I went from having 2 Iphone 4's 500 min and 6 gigs and paying $180 a month to 2 6s+ unlimited minutes and 6 gigs for $125.

Its not a joke for me.

Anyone who holds Apple stock should pay attention to this thread and people's thoughts on paying full price for new phones. These new policies will impact new handset sales unless they can reduce the cost. Lower unit sales means lower stock price.

so what's the deal with NEXT, if you upgrade before the 18 or 24 months, you pay the difference of what you owe on the phone?

I still have unlimited with the 2yr upgrade plan (No more I see now). Would switching to Next allow me to keep the unlimited data or am I stuck with the phone until I purchase a used one and switch the SIM?
