If you have any kind of irrigation system, check the backflow prevention valve.

Tell your neighbors to do the same.

You need cleaning products to clean your cleaning products.

Lake Chuck city water has looked like that on numerous occasions over the last 18 mos. The water dept says they are doing a line flush. The chlorine smell is horrible.

Make sure the city knows about this. You may be on a dead end line - not looped so there is no continuous flushout. These are not really allowed, but with older systems it is sometimes there and left.
Demand that the city comes out and flushes the line through the fire hydrant. It needs to run for several hours. It will flood the street, but that is the only way to tell if the problem is in the source or the lines. If the problem clears up, make sure they come out and flush the line regularly.

Pressure the city council to replace water lines with the next available grant money, not waste it on parks or walking trails.

Try living in rural NELA. Ferriday, St. Joe, Tallulah, and several other towns have been having problems for years.
