NOLA is a shite hole, but the museum is amazing. I've been 3 times before and would definitely go back again. I can spend the whole day in that place.

NOLA is a shite hole, you say. But you love the museum in NOLA and you can spend the whole day in the museum in NOLA, but I'm sure you believe NOLA is just a shite hole that should be wiped out.

Oh, and you love the Saints. And you love seeing LSU play in the dome for the National Championship. And you love King Cakes. And you love that poboy place so much. And you use the airport in the god awful city.

I love all the wussies on this board who talk so much shite about NO but then go there and take advantage of what it has to offer. Yes, the city has problems, but it has positives too. Stop acting all tough like you think NO should be blown up or stop going to enjoy the places in the city once and for all.

Thinking of visiting National WW2 Museum in New Orleans
The Higgins Hotel (Hilton Property) is across the street from the WWII museum, and the décor is theme related. They have a parking garage attached to the hotel. The museum is across the street, and they have done a good job of moving the homeless and vagrants away from that area.

If you're staying for a weekend, you may think about doing the Pacific Theatre one day, and the European the next day. It's so much information my brain was mush after doing both theatres in the same day. Don't sleep on the 45 minute movie that tells the whole story in a 4D theatre with effects to the chairs and theater.

This is your answer. Did it earlier this year. Stayed three nights at the Higgins and did the full museum experience.

The warehouse district. No low income housing in the area. Mostly galleries, restaurants and museums and expensive apartments.

And yet a lot of cars were still broken into Saturday night This whole city is a fricking shithole and should be avoided. No one in power gives a shite.

The Museum is fantastic. Very nicely done and a good experience. But…not worth risking your life over. If dead set (pun intended) to visit, consider valet parking at one of the luxury hotels and taking an Uber there and back.

What a simp soy boy you are. LOL! Park at a luxury hotel and uber???? Jesus, Nancy. Park next to the museum, get out your car, and walk inside the museum. Good grief!!!!

Nice little public service announcement: if history is your thing, we have an outstanding WW1 Museum here in Kansas City. Well worth the visit if you're in the area, and yes - more than safe to park anywhere, walk till you can't. It's in a great area with tons to see and do. On edge of downtown with great good, drink, etc.

You can love all that and realize this place is an unsafe fricking shithole that no one seems interested in fixing.

It's gonna blow up all on its own with the morons in change and apathetic sheep like you cheering them on.

It is safe around the museum.

I would go before some Prog filth decides the museum is offensive and the close it down. That is something I expect to happen in my lifetime.

It's amazing how triggered some people get when others point out that New Orleans is a dangerous shithole.

Exactly... lots exaggeration here. During the day, it's fine. Several paid parking lots around there.

The best military museum I know of is the USAF museum in Dayton. One of each of everything the Air Force has flown from the Wright Flyer to the F23.
Had the Valkyrie in there too. Really cool.

Classic projection. OP is triggered as frick; I make fun of him for it; that triggers you; you accuse me of being triggered.

Never change

This is so stupid.

How would you feel about a glorious buffet, with all sorts of delicious offerings, but there were all kinds of pieces of shite on it? If the servers robbed and beat you? If the Manager mocked your pain and made it clear that your type of people Weren’t welcome there.
If she tried to cancel all the events that made the place nice in the first place.

At some point you can’t ignore all the bad just because there used to be a lot of good.

Use the garage as everyone says. That’s a street parking lot too but it’s ten dollars(a few years ago) and doesn’t give change. So make sure you go with 10s, 5s, and 1s so you don’t get boned.

The WW2 Museum gets over 700K visitors annually, but people are equating visiting there as if you are going to Fallujah.
