I used to could do that. I can’t anymore.

Layoff alcohol a year, then try to do what you did, then come tell us about it.

I had that thought plenty of times. Follow through is crucial. Do it...Just do it...because some of us start and say 'aw frick it".
A havn't done it yet, but I hope you do...

Honest question, so I’m not trying to be an arse. How long have you had a similar habit? I can routinely pull this off myself, but as I get older it becomes much more of a problem.

The less I drink the less I want to. I’ll drink occasionally and never more than a couple and I definitely feel better when I don’t drink. Live your life, you don’t need anyone’s opinion

I can’t think of a single health benefit to eating boiled crawfish. Doesn’t mean I will stop eating eat.

Try edibles. They’ll get you off the booze. Nothing worse than an alcoholic who gets fat from their habit and sends life ruining drunken texts.

Stopping drinking is hard. I can go several days without, but always seem to find my way back so obviously I have a problem. When I do take a few days off I don’t go through withdrawals, but I worry that those are around the corner. I pretty much quit drinking liquor, but I enjoy beer. I’d appreciate any constructive recommendations from those of you that have been in the same boat, but that have ultimately have kicked the habit. It’s a question of mental strength, of course. Anyone have any tips on how you rid yourself of this demon? Thanks in advance.

Replace it with something else. Train for a marathon, epic hiking trip, new hobby, etc. Use the money you save from not drinking to pay for whatever it is.

Also, watch some videos about why its not good for you

If it makes you feel bad, don’t do it.
