Its a good job market out there now and he will need it.
He needn't expect a CFO position. Maybe an AP clerk or something. He gets a job with half the salary, child support and alimony leave him with a few hundred dollars a month. The CEO is going to find out everything sooner or later. If he hears it from a source other than the manager, the CEO will conclude that the manager was trying to hide it all from the company. What will the CEO do about a manager who places his own self-interests above the company? Probably fire.
