HR was at the party and said we gotta make him understand he sexually harassed a lot of people. I just want him gone. What a loooooser.
Be careful about firing him. You need to write him up, document his actions, let him know who complained and about what, and write up a specific corrective action plan.
Have him sign it and put it in his file. If he violates any of the corrective action terms, then fire him.

At least you waited a few hours before doing this spin off. Still shitty though.

1. It was not at workplace.
2. Let HR earn their high pay and do the meeting. You sit in and say nothing but grunt now and then. Uh huh. No words.
Don't invite him next Christmas.
If you fire him with no more to do, based on company party, he will hire someone better than your hr person to crush your balls in court.

I don’t believe this happened, but if it did... would it be legal to fire him based on his actions at the party? It wasn’t company sponsored, he wasn’t paid to be there; seems to me like it would be considered his personal time and you’d have no recourse.

It’s a shitty spin off of an even worse thread

guess he had IBS too because he hung out in the bathroom most of the night. We think he was masturbating
I think he more likely was lining up rails of cocaine.

Threads like this should lead to automatic 1 week bans

I'm wondering why would someone post on social media they might/will fire someone because others are complaining about what he did. I would be more worried that he would see this thread and want to get a lawyer and go after you for bringing his personal issues out in the public. I'd make this thread go away.

Went well. Put together a presentation for my boss. Ended up with a huge bonus for it and took the whole tribe to fabulous Las Vegas.

FYI - saying this is more grounds for firing than what he did.
