Fax machines are the very definition of bad technology. Their continued survival saddens me.

You young uns.
Can't hack a fax. Just sayin.
Add typewriter too. Unhackable. No Spyware needed.

yeah ok

i can't stand when someone asks me for my fax number.
I gave you my card with my email on it. no one owns fax machines anymore, except people in mississippi and alabama. Some of them haven't heard of email yet.

It really blows my mind how many people still use fax machines. 15 years ago I would have bet anyone that it would not be a relevant technology today.

I hate when business require a Fax.

"Can I email you a pdf"
"No we need a fax"

I actually have a VoIP phone just so I can hook my printer to it and send my 1-2 faxes a year.

I have a tough time figuring out how music radio stations stay afloat. With Sirius/XM, Pandora, iPods, etc., you'd think radio stations would become the next Blockbuster Video.

Democrats thinly disguised socialistic views. Socialism/communism has failed everywhere it's been tried. Yet still the leftist pinkos beat their drum....

stupid fools clamoring for peace. peace is a satanic lie. read your Bible, or better... USE GOOGLE.

What kind of "peace" are you talking about?

Psalm 34:14 - Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Psalm 37:37 - Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace.

Psalm 122:6 - Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure."

Proverbs 12:20 - Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.

Matthew 5:9 - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Mark 9:50 - “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”

Romans 12:18 - If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Big arse personal computers. Why would anyone buy that?

Gamers and other people who need a powerful computer still need these. It's a lot cheaper for more powerful components and easier to upgrade those components on a desktop pc than a laptop.

Windshields that cracked so easily. I swear there must be a bandit going around throwing pea gravel all over the roads. These same people own the windshield industry.

We still have a fax that I use about as often as I write checks.

My "fax" number on my card sends the documents to my e-mail, so I only use to send to dorks who don't want a scanned and e-mailed copy of whatever I have to sign.

My answer to the OP is the manual toothbrush. That has to be the oldest technology still around in a form pretty close to its original about 50,000 years ago.
