I’m actually working a package to get back in on Reserve status down on MARFORRES down in NO.
Been out for a bit now, but I’ve always wanted to be an officer so I’m going to go back in, pick up staff, then drop a WO package and see how that plays out. I’m 30 so if I don’t do it now, I’m never going to be able to. Not super stoked about being a 30 year old Sergeant but what can you do.

Yeah I saw your post the other day on a different thread.
All I'll say is best of luck. It sucked turning away prior service Marines, yet we will let other prior service reenlist as first time accessions.
Just keep hounding that PSR! Best of luck brother
*Another reason why we need a military board. We each have tons of information and resources that could help one another.
Et* also you should finish your degrees and just go officer. That's your easiest route. Plus the years you served count back on your age.

Literally everyone in my entire batallion hated pogs. Everyone!!! From the moment I arrived in a line platoon till the moment I left we all hated pogs. Have no idea where you get this shite that only boots hate pogs.
I heard out of his own mouth on a battalion pt run
" hey there pogs
Get on your knees and swallow me
I am marine corps infantry"
This came from a lt. Col with 11 combat deployments and 15+ years in the infantry.
It is an ingrained hatred that is taught from day 1 in the infantry.
The only people an infantry marine hated more is the enemy.
Pogs are a very close second
Now I will say that all our supporting combat arms we were okay with.
And how does one frick a stripper in front of you in the back seat of a mustang? Was I in the trunk or what?

Well in 10 years on multiple bases and locations overseas, the ones who I heard it from we're boots who haven't done anything.
Maybe they weren't confident enough to say it directly to pogs?!? Idk, just telling you my experiences. Why does it even matter?
Shop talk is different than actually going around trying to be a hard arse.

Yep. So much information that important to careers that military members don’t realize they have access to because a lot of it is buried under mountains of bullshite.

Did you see my edit about your "service age"? If you're 30 and did 4 years you are technically 26. (Just using as example, don't know how long you served)

I'm out as of 2016. I had a bad injury in 07 and kept having surgeries and finally got put on a med board after my last surgery in 2014.
I avoided that like the plague. It ended up getting me though. Made it 9 yrs though after the injury.
