I'd recommend Pig and Pint in the Fondren area. If you're going to the natural science museum, it's convenient. Damn good food too.

Just do what the locals do. Steal the rims off of parked cars and hold up pharmacies

We have to be Brandon, but not early...so we can drive over.

If you have to be in Brandon, you’re right by the outlets, Bass Pro, and Mississippi Braves. Also Brandon has a big amphitheater that has been getting pretty big artists lately.

There are plenty of things to do for a day or two. MS Agriculture Museum, MS Museum of Natural Science, Jackson Zoo, (if you're feeling lucky), Art Museum downtown, MS Sports Hall of Fame, MS Civil Right Museum, MS History Museum, Lucky Town Brewery, Cathead Vodka, MS Braves, etc.

Jackson is also one of the best food towns in the Southeast, outside New Orleans. Tons of good restaurants.

Also, good area to stay?

Ridgeland/North Jackson

Roads in Jackson are in worse shape than roads in 3rd world shitholes. Expect to need a realignment when you get back. Also, some girl got killed there a couple of months back because city workers didn't put a manhole cover back in place and it caused her to wreck. Pay attention when you're driving.

It's not any more dangerous than other cities similar.

Natural History Museum. Ag museum, Art Museum, New Stage Theatre, Fondren Place, Some decent golf, Many good restaurants, minor league Baseball across from Bass Pro Shop in Pearl, Maybe a concert at Brandon Amphitheatre, Civil Rights Museum, shopping, Drive to Bentonia on a Friday or Saturday night and listen to the blues at the Blue Front Café (if Jimmy Duck Holmes is there), Vicksburg Military Park, Casino entertainment in Vicksburg or Indian Casino in Philadelphia, several decent movie theaters, Blue Monday Jams at Hal and Mal's, Tuesday Dinner with Jazz at Hal & Mal's, Look H&M up on Facebook for other nightly events, Jazz and Blues at Underground 119 (see google for who is there), running out of stuff.

Go to Jackson Zoo before it closes.

McLane's on Holly bush is pretty cool. Off of Lakeland Drive. Civil Rights museum is pretty good as well.

Why? I'm no fan of Jackson, just being honest.
