When I was younger I thought Americans were citizens, and that the market existed for us.

Now I know we're only consumers who exist for the market.

Grew up thinking that adults getting angry was for a valid logical reason.

Now, quite alot of people just have never been held accountable for much or seen any real consequences for running their mouth

used to think the $50 fine for littering sign meant they paid you to litter. I learned the hard way that wasn't the case

When I was 6: I thought my 28 year old parents were old AF.

Now: 28 is still basically a kid.

I know!

I was 15 years old when I got my drivers license and my parents gave me the green light to drive to school and work and friends houses.
Looking back, I’m thinking holy shite they really trusted me with that?

I remember it dawning on me that some of my friends’ moms got knocked up in highschool.

They seemed like normal old parents growing up, but at our highschool graduation they were like 35. Younger than my mom was when I was born.

I used to believe that being a half breed from interracial parents was something to be ashamed of.
I hated being different growing up now I’m ok with it now. Sometimes it’s hard being pulled between two cultures
