Things that feel way better than average sex

Hard to adaquately put into words unless you've had poison ivey on your nuts and decided what would happen if you got the water in the shower as hot as you could withstand, but if a rogue chemist ever figures out how to put this neurological response into snortable powder form, I would pay 400 dollars for a gram. Opening the histamine floodgates opens the dopamine and endorphin floodgates, as it turns out.
When you have poison ivey on your nuts and run really hot water over it in the shower, why does it feel so awesome
That near-euphoric sensation happens because very hot water triggers a massive, all-at-once neurological sensory dump that temporarily overloads your nervous system.
1. The Histamine "Floodgate" Dump
Poison ivy rash (contact dermatitis from urushiol oil) fills local mast cells with histamine, the neurotransmitter responsible for the itching sensation. When scalding or very hot water hits the area, it activates heat receptors (TRPV1) and triggers your nerve endings to dump all stored histamine at once. Instead of a slow, maddening trickle of itch, you experience a concentrated surge of stimulation that feels intensely satisfying.
2. Overwhelming the "Gate" (Gate Control Theory)
Your nervous system has a finite bandwidth for processing sensory input at the spinal cord level. The intense heat signal travels along nerve fibers and physically crowds out the persistent itch signals. Because the brain perceives this sudden disruption of chronic irritation as an immediate removal of discomfort, it registers the sensation as profound relief.
3. Neurochemical Reward
The threshold between intense heat, mild pain, and deep itch releases a surge of endorphins and dopamine in the brain. That sudden neurochemical spike produces the distinct feeling of intense satisfaction.
The Catch

Slipping into a comfy bed, with bamboo sheets, that has a nice big fan blowing on it, after a cool shower (dried off of course) on a hot day
Next to a warm woman who's hot for you

So… you’re telling me a sensation better than “average” sex begins with rubbing poison ivy on your berries?
Wtaf?

Well that’s something I would have never thought of. The OT can come up with some shite!

LLMs have their benefits. Previously, if you had an obscure burning question, you had to type it into a Google search bar, scroll through the results and hope their was a Reddit or Quora or message board chat with the correct information.
I don't care how many thousands of gallons of water it took to answer that question. It's something I'd been wondering about for years!

It should be an automatic ban, Chicken.

At least you didn't call it AI slop. There are some sad misguided geezers around here who think that Gemini answering is AI slop.

Holding those farts after a 3.5 hour flight. The release when back to my truck. Just about burning a hole through seat.

If you have ever been constipated and haven't taken a crap for 4-5 days... That first crap is orgasmic... You feel like running around clicking your heels..

A Q-tip in my ear after a hot shower
Jumping into a pool after cutting the grass on a hot summer day

Maybe sorta related and I could never explain it. I had lower back surgery about 11 years ago. Once the area where the incision was in the middle of my lower back healed, if I got in the shower and let the hot water hit it, it would send this crazy strong sensation through my whole body. It would make me shudder and shake it was so strong. Felt amazing. But it would only happen with the initial hit of the water. And sadly, about about 6 months, it went away.

I've had lots of bouts of poison ivy in my life but.... never on my nuts. what's the mechanism there?
Posted on 8/21/26 at 2:43 pm to Jmcc64
Not op so not sure, but I'm not sure its all about the poison ivy. Lots of things feel good tickling your balls.

Hot shower water on poison ivy is very satisfying.

Hot shower water directly on my neck after shaving.
