We have calculators too, but they're still teaching arithmetic I hope.

Not just things, but hand crafted products and those artisans who take great pride in their craftsmanship have been taking a hit for a long time now, replaced by cheap disposable crap purchased at box stores.
Truth be known, even high end furniture these days isn't nearly what it once was. I went shopping for furniture not long ago at a very high end furniture store and learned everything I was seeing was laminated with real hardwood.
