This shite pisses me off to no fricking end. And I’m a Christian. The political campaign commercials are a great microcosm into this state. Lowest common denominator trash. Oh a guy from Louisiana hunts and goes to church? What a shock!

Only 20% of the state has roads and uses automobiles. The rest of the state you must traverse by water - and everyone uses pirogues, john boats or hollowed out cypress logs pulled by a team of alligators to get around.

No, in fact the people here are pure dicks, to be honest. Try doing business with a large sample of the Louisiana population and you'll see.

People in Louisiana are very ignorant, uneducated, and dicks.

I was born, raised, and still live here so I can say that.

Almost everybody is an LSU fan even if they went to other colleges with the exception of Tulane and people born in Lafayette and attending ULL. Open container laws are not enforced on bourbon street or in the French quarter or gamedays for both college and pro with the exception of La. Tech (I could be wrong).

Mardi Gras is a state holiday that state employees have as an off day.

LSU’s colors come from Mardi Gras.

There was a battle or two fought against the British after the war was over.

Those along with making groceries are uniquely New Orleans, not the rest of the state.

The people suck at driving though. Too many slow drivers on the road. Too many left lane drivers. Too many drivers completely clueless of their surrounding and not courteous to other drivers. Oh, and they should stop putting blinkers on vehicles because the drivers here don't use them anyway. Related to this, auto insurance rates are through the roof.

The food is good

The water is slimy.

They know how to have a good time.

The roads suck.

Zydeco is awesome.

Based on the crying and level of butthurt seen on this board by those displaying beside their name. Most of the 'men' are pussies.

That is all I've got.

save for a couple saturdays in the fall, there is nothing worth mentioning in state of of louisiana outside of New Orleans

I've been all over the state, and almost all of it is just, "shitty texas" except Nola, which has its faults but is at least uniquely its own
