Burned in my head was the woman, who was out of her mind and talking loudly as she rode perpendicular to me. Attention inevitably went to her. My initial thought was schizophrenia. Clearly she was mentally disturbed.
She rode through the intersection to within 5 feet of me, and I took note of what had to be no more than a 4-month old in the bike trailer, wrapped up and sleeping. Heart sunk for the baby. Deeply saddened me for that child. Came home and told my wife...felt helpless for the baby.
Horrific if that was him. Heart wrenching.
I bet it was the same woman...

Everyone in this thread is feels empathy for the baby. If the tables were turned and this happened in a conservative area, it would be on cnn every 15 minutes.

I am pretty sure I was within 5 feet of this baby less than 1 month ago. The mama exhibited schizophrenia (word salads, in particular). Felt helpless.

Because it’s not expected or common to have that kind of violence there. It’s linked to the racism of low expectations. The media has come to expect so little of a certain demographic and they don’t even hide it.

I am saddened by the entire situation.
However, you are detached from reality if you don’t believe that this child’s death wouldn’t be politicized by the MSM and the Democrat’s if it had occurred in a conservative area.
