In 2020, 55 out of 61 Texas beaches tested by environmental regulators were potentially unsafe for swimming

Seems about right...

Cole Park Beach in Corpus Christi had bacteria levels above this safety threshold on 91% of days tested last year, according to the report.
It also identified Ropes Park Beach, Surfside Beach, Sylvan Beach Park, Follet’s Island Beach, Corpus Christi, Quintana Beach, Sargent Beach, Jetty Park Beach and Nueces Bay Causeway Beach #3 as the other most unsafe beaches last year.

We have so many poorly maintained home sewer systems that dump straight into the waterways.

Do you know anyone that puts chlorine tabs in the chlorinator at the discharge of the system?

At least one day? So how many days? And define “unsafe”. Like carbon levels and climate change, I’m skeptical anytime the same government that doesn’t control its borders, but wants me to keep my thermostat on 80F tells me how polluted and unsafe the beaches are.

Very misleading report. Many of the so called “beaches” are places no one ever swims at and it has nothing to do with poop.

Good point. It’s pathetic that we the public have been lied to and misled to such an extent that we feel compelled to question everything we’re told by any form of MSM.
Perhaps they should investigate and report on why that is and how the MSM could fix it.

The term for the actual cost of swimming in Texas waters is Fee Seas.

Seems to be the case. Is it the shoreline or is the water that is bad?

It’s the fine sand that is not very dense and easily suspended in the water, and frequent presence of fresh water when rivers are up. If it’s been dry and no wind for a few days the water will actually get clear.

This paragraph caught my eye.

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but if you're heading to the Texas Coast this weekend, there's a good chance you'll be swimming in doody.

Was this caused by the rip tides?

Surfside Beach

Lived in Lake Jackson for a while. As much as I loved to go surf fishing down there, its not a surprise. The area is full of mexicans and trashy plant baws who leave all their trash on the beach when they leave.
