If you stay off of social media and don’t watch the news, the “real life” that I live currently is pretty good. The only difference for me is that I have to wear a mask a couple hours a week at most (church and grocery stores), and a couple of my friends don’t want to hang out because they are “social distancing”.

Now, I just wish the damn rain would give me a break, because I’d like to hang out in my pool a little more.

Thank God for this thread. It has been almost two weeks since the last “I hate Louisiana” thread on this Louisiana based internet site.

Let me tell y’all bunch of self loathing fricks. If you hate the place so much, move. If you are throwing stones from out of state, go frick yourself. You don’t live here.

Yeah, it’s JBE’s fault no one wants to wear a mask or stay out of large groups. Louisiana, always going backwards before they can move somewhat forward with the rest of the world.

Except for property taxes...

Depends on what you mean by the word "better". I pay more taxes to have great public schools, roads with no potholes and government services that work for me. I can go back to Louisiana and pay less to get way less.

This is a real dilemma for me planning retirement.

But I’m afraid he’s a poser who is blaspheming the name of The Dude

I love the way people blame their misery and career failures on the state of Louisiana. I've never been unemployed in 40 years and have made a good living. Maybe because I work and i'm reliable. Yes, we have corrupt politicians no doubt. But it starts right there in your local offices and moves on up to governor. If you attend meetings and vote the right people in none of this shenanigans happen. It's the people's fault. But make no mistake, you make your own decisions and your own way throught life. Take responsibility on stop blaming someone else. As a matter of fact, pre Covid I thought New Orleans was better than I've ever seen in over 60 years. A ton of good stuff happening in the city. It'll be back stronger than ever. It's a great place but I can't speak for Morgan City or Pineville or Lafayette or Bossier City.

He's not pro life or pro 2nd amendment.

Politicians do this all the time, and like Lucy pulling the football, some fall for it all the time.

JBE cannot affect these issues, so it doesn't matter what his "position" is. So he takes the position that will get him elected. If he ever runs for a national office, or makes it to the US Senate, he will "evolve" unless the vote isn't close enough to require him to "evolve".

Take Mitt Romney as a Republican example. Mitt ran against Obamacare, but as Governor of Massachusetts he implemented something similar.

Here we go again... someone bringing up “great public schools”. No such thing as a great government school. If you think so you have no idea what’s really going on in government schools. You’re seeing “great government schools” happening every day in Portland and Seattle. Better check out what’s really happening in your government schools.
