re: There seems to be some discrepancies regarding face masks

We all know our illustrious government is all about appearances. That's the whole game. A mask is simply a virtue signaling tool at this point. If you're vulnerable you shouldn't be leaving your house or going out in public in the first place.

Maybe the question is why do medical professionals rely on masks if they're useless?
Nobody is saying they are worthless at stopping particulate matter, liquids, and other things.
We are saying if you are asymptomatic or if you don’t have the virus, wearing a mask doesn’t help others and puts yourself at greater risk of catching this.

I know doctors who are laughing at people wearing mask and those doctors are not wearing in public. They aren't practicing social distancing either. That tells me all I need to know.
I saw my doctor last week and he adjusted his several times while I was in there. He didn't outright call it bullshite, but he did say "these things aren't going anywhere, at least around here, for a while".
Then he said "you're getting to be about that age" and stuck his finger in my butt. I don't know what to believe.

Did he have his hands on your shoulders when he did it?

The argument is not for people that are sick... I.E. coughing to not wear mask. It’s for healthy/asymptomatic people to not have to wear mask. Just like during flu season, people walk up to the pharmacy counter with masks on to get their tamiflu
Yes. If you are coughing, stay the frick home, or wear a mask if you have to go out. If you aren't coughing... don't bother.

I don't remember. It all happened so fast.

Honest question: If a surgeon is healthy and performing an appendectomy, is it ok for them not to wear a mask? Maybe the question is why do medical professionals rely on masks if they're useless?
Honest answer, they wear masks for risk mitigation in terms of lawsuits. Multiple studies have shown no increase in infections when surgeons don't wear a mask.

Did he at least call you later.

Why would there be lawsuits if germs weren't being spread?
Surgeons are sheeple just doing what they are told.

The highlighted part of the OP that I questioned says "increased potential of your hands being contaminated when you remove or correct the mask". It does not say the the increase is caused by already contaminated hands touching your face.

What sounds more scientific?
A mask can be a barrier to droplets and infection.
Or
A mask makes you at greater risk of getting infected.

I don't think you realize how lawsuits and risk mitigation work. That's okay.

He said it was his doctor, not Joe Biden.

Can a sneeze or cough and its microscopic germs from an unmasked person enter the nasal cavity of another unmasked person in close proximity?
Depends on lots of factors. Certain pathogens are small enough and light enough that they remain aerosolized and can pass through certain masks. Masks such as N95 masks, when properly fitted, can prevent the passage of aerosolized pathogens while standard masks or face coverings cannot. COVID-19 is typically spread through droplets which are larger and heavier and would usually be stopped by simpler face coverings. COVID-19 can be aerosolized in certain situations such as during medical intubation which is why medical professionals may need higher levels of protection.

This is simply not true. Surgeons are standing over sterile wounds sometimes for hours - talking and breathing. It is well-known that speech produces small droplets that contain oral bacteria and other potential pathogens.
Now, shoe coverings have been shown to be worthless in preventing infection, but masks are certainly different. In addition, masks and eye protection help prevent infectious diseases from the patient entering the surgeon.

I'd link you the studies, but I am on my phone and don't care that much... but there was no increase in infection when surgeons didn't wear a mask.

CDC continues to study the spread and effects of the novel coronavirus across the United States. We now know from recent studies that a significant portion of individuals with coronavirus lack symptoms (“asymptomatic”) and that even those who eventually develop symptoms (“pre-symptomatic”) can transmit the virus to others before showing symptoms. This means that the virus can spread between people interacting in close proximity—for example, speaking, coughing, or sneezing—even if those people are not exhibiting symptoms. In light of this new evidence, CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.

This is simply not true.
Once something becomes political, truth doesn't matter.
Not saying that the article is politically motivated but it certainly appears biased.
I question the article posted by the OP due to statements within it being obviously illogical as pointed out earlier.
ETA: A Google search of the OP's image does not pull up any Danish Government website. The 3rd item listed is TDroppings.
Politics and a disease mixing creates shite.
