quote:Maybe he shouldn't have put the douchey letter on his business letterhead. He could've sent the douchey letter on plain paper instead of his law firm's letterhead. But he wanted to be extra douchey and make it look threatening as coming from a lawyer's office, so he used letterhead and drug his business into the issue. He's just reaping what he sowed now.
But, does that mean that he deserves to have his reputation tarnished and his livelihood harmed because of a douchey letter?

That's exactly why I don't give a shite about him getting ripped online. He tried to use the weight of his being an attorney against this woman thinking it would scare her into caving to his demand. Every lawyer knows exactly what they are doing when they send a letter drafted on letterhead to someone who is not a practicing attorney.

Pretty much this.

My neighbors kid got a new basketball goal. He was out shooting and the ball bounced over the fence and took out a section of my vegetable garden.
What did I do? Picked it up and tried to shoot and make it over the fence. Why? Because they are just kids and I would gladly deal with that than the neighbors kids being druggies with friends that steal shite.
This guy seems like a prick.
Exactly. Its not like they are doing it on purpose. Its kids outside playing ball. This person is pissed because one time the ball hit their fence and another time it went over the fence.. Almost hitting the fence.. I just can't see why someone would make suck a big deal over this anyway.
If you go to a rec baseball park, what do they use to protect the fans from the baseball? A fence. I just think it is being petty to make a big deal out of a football that was thrown by a kid, hitting their fence.

Both can be true.

Are you related or just another lawyer?
Neither. Why do I have to have skin in the game to take the position that two eyes for a fingernail isn't warranted or reasonable?
You guys are perfect examples of why I hate social media. The majority of the population isn't competent enough to deserve to be able to reach the masses, and people are such pieces of shits that they don't consider the real life consequences of their online actions.
And, I'm an a-hole for defending the douchey lawyer (along with a long list of other reasons), which just keeps it going.

J Wade Smith would get fricked with regularly if I received that letter. What a fricking pussy.

This is my main takeaway from this situation.
He came at it like a lawyer instead of a neighbor.
Now, I sure as shite don't know if he had tried previously to talk to her politely about the situation. Maybe so, maybe not.

I'd be right there with you, unless you tried to destroy his reputation on social media.

If I were God for a day, I would set aside a little time to disbar this clown for life.

What a sad sob. Kids next door playing ball? are you kidding me? I'd be over there tossing a few with them. Now don't anyone start with the prevy stuff. Kids should be encouraged by everyone to get out there and play ball. Must have not had any children of his own. Loser.

I read through 10 pages of this thread hoping that the lady and/or the attorney neighbor would turn up here to defend themselves. Disappointing that neither did.
