If only it was that simple. If it'd be as simple as a woman(or a man) that wanted to sell their body for sex that seems ok. When you have pimps step into the equation and human sex trafficking in there as well it gets pretty nasty. And you also have the insane fricks that sell their kids to pedophiles for frick sessions. Crazy world.

I've always found it interesting that many feminists favor abortion rights because "it's a woman's body so it's her choice", yet they think prostitution is wrong.

There are strong arguments that sex trafficking would be reduced if prostitution were legal.

It should be like the restaurant industry. It would be regulated and checked to make sure it meant certain standards. You might cook a mighty fine steak at home but once in a while it's nice to go to a good steakhouse and get served a quality piece of meat with no work on your part. Should be the same with pussy.

I would think the risk of spread of STDs would outweigh it being legalized. IMO.

It's illegal to sell something that is perfectly legal to give away free of charge.

Prostitution being legal doesn't mean you can now sleep with people below the legal age.

besides for the STD's, pimping, and physical/sexual abuse associated with prostitution, sure there's nothing wrong wit h it. Unless HIGHLY regulated like at the bunny ranch in vegas it would be a disaster. Then, how do you tax it?

That should be viewed as an assumed risk. Plus you could use the same logic to ban hookups.

Maybe so. But I look at it this way. If someone is taken against their will and forced to frick strangers what is making prostitution legal going to do? I'm sure there is other angles in this argument but I'm ignorant to them. I'd like to hear some.

If punishments for breaking laws are to exist for moral education then all laws must be based on morality. When society deems something to be morally wrong then punishments will be enacted regardless of the letter of the law.

I guess you've never had to deal with the FBI because some girls step fathe was selling his 15 year old daughter off as an 18 year old trick.

My wife has. That girl didn't have much choice.

I actually think that it would GREATLY reduce human trafficking.

It would be much more cost effective to go to the local brothel.

And you could set it up so that the women were independent contractors and rent areas to ply their trade. Tax it all, gain the benefits, and mitigate the other offenses that are already happening at a high rate (pimps, sexual abuse, human trafficking, etc.)

It would honestly solve most of the issues that you brought up as unintended consequences that are already occurring.

I have been saying this for forever.

You can have sex all day long with whoever, but if you are compensated for it then it's illegal.. Get real.

It's your life. People make tips all sorts of ways.
