Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Whether you find him funny or not, I can say that the person he is on stage is who he is in person. I vaguely know his brother and had Theo in a class at LSU in the early 2000’s and that’s exactly how he was every day. He just says funny (I think) things and doesn’t even try to be funny.

Ehhh, I've seen too many standup comedians who have successful podcasts who without the podcast would stand no chance of even being able to book the rooms they get, much less selling them out. With podcasters, particularly those who got famous from the podcast before getting a good following with standup, I've found that many of them just aren't that great.

So what’s your point? At least we have the choice today, instead of Hollywood deciding who we should watch or listen to. Why does it matter if people you don’t care for do well and sell out shows?

In 96 (I think) I saw Glavine, Smoltz and Rocker walk into the Waffle House we were eating at in Marietta Ga
My boss was like a little schoolgirl asking if we should go over to their table.

I said Hell no, they're here to eat in peace just like we are. Didn't say a word to them, just nodded as we walked out.

Girls in these stupid white boots and hats are enough to make you want to grab someone by the throat.

He did interview the president just a couple of months ago.

I happened to watch Theo Von's show with Tucker Carlson yesterday which was good. They talked a lot about their cocaine addictions. Carlson did qualify that cocaine addiction in the early 90s is way different than cocaine addiction today.

I think so many people watch their videos and listen to their podcasts that they feel like they "know" them. That makes them feel comfortable enough to walk up and say crazy stuff.

All I know is that I have developed a pretty serious Baby Theo Von addiction. The algorithms at this point are feeding me like 90% Baby Theo Von, and I can't resist clicking.

He is supposedly a singer and now claims he could have lost his career over the incident.

I used to chat with him at the LSU Rec Center in the late 90s. He was popular bc of Road Rules but he was always very friendly. So I’m glad for his success. No reason to hate on a local boy who makes it.

Same here.. After he had done MTV show I would see him at the rec. He was a friendly dude. Would make eye contact and say whats up to people around him in the gym. Then I would see him out at Freds or wherever and he would say what's up man every time I saw him, shake hands, short conversation, cause he recognized me from the gym. Anyway, he always came off like a good dude/cool down to earth guy. I think it is awesome he has been successful and I wish the homeboy all the good he can get.
