I can attest to Williams brother's lack of regard for human life. I used to work for one of their suppliers. It is truly amazing they don't have more fatalities. The frickers also overwork the shite out of their employees.

Worked at a Winn Dixie while in high school. When I went to college I got transferred to the Winn Dixie near there. Worked in the produce dept which was located next to the flower dept. The floral manager was a pretty good looking divorced 35 year old mother of 1. We would always flirt with each other and she even took me out a few times. Nailing an older women straight out of high school was quite an experience! Produce manager was a fat arse piece of shite who was in love with her(even proposed to her). She couldn't stand him. He would always give me a shite load of work to do on my shifts.Other guys in the dept told me he would do this on purpose. Finally had enough one shift and walked out. Went back the next week to collect my check and told the store manager to eat a dick. Hated that place.

I quit 2 weeks before the first day of a new job out of state, movers were lined up and we were headed up to look at houses. Another company made a better offer when they found out I was leaving the current job. I still feel bad because the guy I quit on was a good guy. But the second job was a lot better situation for my family.

Not me, but one of my old secretaries went to lunch and left a note on her chair that said “bye”. Didn’t even bother packing her personal shite.

That’s your responsibility as a husband and father.

Buddy of mine worked at movie gallery in high school. They pissed him off about something so he decided to quit. Saturday evening at about 7 when his manager called it a night. He puts on some raunchy arse porn on the store TV's and cranks the volume all the way up and walks out.
I still laugh to this day thinking about people walking in to some frick fest cranked up to 10 with no one in the store.

In handcuffs, but with a smile.

Went to lunch. Never came back

Long story on what led up to it, but I ended up locking the doors about 2am, and left a “frick you and don’t bother calling me” note on the branch managers desk, and walked out through the back door.

Gave an 8hr notice last month.
Unfortunate circumstances, but they owed me over 10k between a job bonus, expenses, and my 1st of the month pay check and I didn’t think they would pay it if I gave a formal notice.
It was a startup organization where things are really tight and revenue has been very low. I did what I had to do for the best possible outcome for #1, myself.
ETA: reading others in here I’m realizing my situation was a bit different.

It was a tech sales position. After about a month on the job I knew I hated it. VP of sales was in town so I called in sick. Later that night told them I was taking another offer. Told them I didn’t think a two-week notice would be appropriate.
That was about a year and a half ago and It was the best decision I ever made.

I left skid marks getting out of that parking lot on the last day.

I quit a job working at Eddie Bauer at the MOL in college by not showing up. To be fair, I worked every shift they gave me including Black Friday (which sucked arse). Between then and Christmas I had like two scheduled shifts but was basically “on call” every weekend. How that worked was I’d have to call in at 11:30 and 2 to see if they needed me. Didn’t get paid for that, btw. Finally I got tired of basically pissing away my weekends during the Holidays sitting in my apartment in BR alone not making money, so I went home. They called me in on Christmas Eve or the day before after I didn’t work for almost a month and I wasn’t in BR. Quit over the phone.
I’ve seen some good ones though. Saw a lady quit an admin position because the VP told her, I shite you not, to make him a sandwich. She said no, he said something really ugly to her, and she blew up and yelled something along the lines of “egotistical psychopath” whilst storming out the door
He was later fired for embezzlement.

I let them give me a long review, then quit at the end of it. I don't think it's bad form, because I wanted to know how I was doing, but it was awkward. There was another twist to it given my excuse for leaving, but my lawyer (me) won't let me talk about it.

Back in college I was hired by UPS as a loader during the holidays. About an hour and a half into my shift I told the guy I was working with I had to take a shite, walked right past the bathroom to my truck and drove away.

Chrysler shut down the dealership where I was working, fired about 140 employees but kept me to help clean up the blood. They had no idea how many skeletons were buried.

I pulled out of the parking lot my last day at my first teaching job blaring "Take This Job and Shove It" as I drove past the principal.
