The latest report comes from Mopar Insiders, which cites a source within Stellantis claiming that production of the 5.7-liter, supercharged 6.2-liter, and 6.4-liter Apache V8 will come online at the company’s Dundee Engine Plant in Michigan as soon as August. Notably, the Hurricane I6 is still produced in Saltillo, where tooling for the old Hemi lineup was removed to make room for the new engine family. Production of the heavy-duty variant of the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 has been ongoing while others have been on hiatus.

Hopefully they fix the shitty lifter oiling and exhaust manifolds. They'd be excellent engines if they'd fix those two very simple things.

Rolling on with 162k...Just replaced the manifolds with some aftermarket "better" options around 6-8k ago...No lifter issue yet.
Solid engine...the rest of the truck is shite.

It was foolish to get rid of the Hemi only to replace it with an inline 6 turbo that runs so hot it burns a hole in the catalytic converter.
We can only hope that Trump rolls back the regulations that force manufacturers to move away from V8 engines.

For the most part those were resolved by 2021 or so. But no clue if these new ones have the same parts or not.
Can confirm that the new Hurricane engine has had a lot of teething issues. And buyers just aren’t as excited about them as they were with the V8 even though they have higher output than some HEMI variants.
The naturally aspirated HEMI is a fairly compact design and fit in a wide variety of vehicles. The straight six is a little tougher to package. I’d love to see them put the 5.7L in everything that can fit it.

So, why did you repair it instead of getting something else?

They could relocate the oil filter while they're at it. I sure hope that whoever decided to discontinue the HEMI got fired. What a dumb decision!

Truck prices are high as a giraffe's arse. Also...there are a few things about my Ram in particular that I really enjoy that I can't find anywhere else.
One big one...are the ram boxes. I don't know WTF no one does something similar.
I personally fix 90% of the stuff wrong with my truck...I've had a shop fix the manifolds, busted rad, and busted diff gears.
I personally fixed...broken power window gears, electric fan, brake booster, replaced fuel tank level gauge, steering wheel, replaced entire air suspension with regular shocks and springs.
The amount of stuff on this truck that has broke is insane...I don't know how the previous missed on the lemon law. The only reason I've kept it is because I've been able to save money fixing it myself.

The Biden admin (that pushed the super strict emissions) has been replaced. The CEO of Stellantis has been replaced as well.

Gimme a Hemi cuda
Love the Mopar E-bodies of the early 70s. My dream would be to own a Hemi 'Cuda, paint it blue and yellow, and name it Weapon X.

That thing got a Hemi in it?!?

That was one of the best ads I’ve seen in some time.

CEO of Stellanits, Carlos Tavares.
quote:
Following a rough year for the company, Carlos Tavares is out as the CEO of Stellantis, and now that he's gone, several insiders have blown the whistle to CNBC on what his tenure was like behind the scenes. Sources for the CNBC report agreed to speak with the outlet on condition of anonymity in order to speak freely while avoiding repercussions.
According to one such source in the report, "Everybody wanted to keep [Hemi]," while Tavares wanted to push green energy and wouldn't budge on the issue.
The CNBC report describes a CEO with a "reluctance, if not unwillingness, to listen to U.S. executives about the American market," which led to the removal of the Hemi from Stellantis's passenger-car lineup and ultimately cost Tavares his job. Despite the CEO's push for rapid electrification in North America, the company's EV growth continues at a relatively slow pace.
Car and Driver
This is what happens when you let Eurotrash buyout and run American companies. Americans - especially those who drive V8 trucks - do not want electric vehicles.

Now, let's bring back simple mechanical diesels. Im even ok with spraying cat piss in the tail pipe. Let's just get rid of these complicated arse diesel engines.

2 manifolds

few tire pressure sensors
130k miles. decided to fix it up rather than buy new

the Big 3 might be the worst run, most imbecilic companies in the world.
